Truck Yard resident Carnival Barker's Ice Creams will soon have a second outpost. SideDish reports that Aaron Barker's pint-sized ice cream shop (pun fully intended) will open at the Jefferson Tower revamp where long-awaited Small Brewpub also resides. Interestingly enough, the ice cream shop will share space with an art gallery.

According to SideDish, Jefferson Tower will also have the first standalone Cultivar Coffee location (the local roaster currently has two operations that share space with East Dallas's Good 2 Go Taco and Hypnotic Donuts Denton) as well as something called JD's BBQ; they refer to the latter as a "new concept," though a restaurant by the same name opened near Bishop Arts in 2012.
