Addison's India West, the more upscale younger sibling of long-time Richardson staple Kebab 'N Kurry, has closed its doors for good. Per a press release posted to the restaurant's website, the restaurant decided not to renew its lease on the Addison space, which ended in late October.
Looks like chef-owner Ross Duggal (the son of Kebab 'N Kurry founder AJ Duggal) has big plans for the future, though: The same release notes that Ross is "looking for another location in downtown Dallas for a French American concept with an Indian flair," which they estimate will open in mid-2015.
India West never seemed to grab onto the sort of loyal following that the 32-year-old Kebab 'N Kurry enjoys, and the critics weren't too keen on it either: It garnered a one-star review from the Dallas Morning News back in 2009, and a writeup from the Dallas Observer the following year wasn't much more favorable.
