Popular McKinney Avenue seafood den The Shell Shack is preparing to open a second location. The restaurant, which serves up Cajun-style seafood boils utilizing crab, shrimp, and crawfish (when in season), will open at the southwest corner of Park Lane and the Dallas North Tollway come spring 2015.
Besides seafood boils — which prissy eaters can order "Uptown style," aka pre-shelled — Shell Shack also has fried seafood, raw oysters, gumbo, and clam chowder along with a full bar. The Uptown location has been a popular draw for the late-night crowd, as its kitchen doesn't close until 1 a.m. on the weekends.
