TRINITY GROVES—Blind Butcher chef Oliver Sitrin crushed his competitors last night at Brewery Ommegang's HopChef competition at 3015 at Trinity Groves. The winning dish involved a beer-poached jalapeño cheddar bacon brat, maple mustard, sauerkraut, butternut squash and cucumber, with Ommegang's Hop House beer used throughout. (Sitrin even vaped some hops for dramatic effect.) He won a pretty impressive prize package that includes a trip to the brewery and an upcoming editorial feature in Saveur. [EaterWire]
