Lower Greenville Hangout Truck Yard Debuts Hot Drinks for Winter

'Tis the season for spiked hot chocolate (and "white trash" Christmas parties, apparently).

Everyone's favorite backyard hangout Truck Yard is gearing up for cold weather with a couple new cocktails. Now in addition to beers both cheap and craft and bottled rum cocktails, folks can sip on two hot drink options: the Bishop Punch with mulled wine, Cana Brava rum and Grand Marnier, or the Ancho Cocoa with Abuelita (that's the Mexican spiced chocolate made by Nestle with the grandma on the box), Tequila Cabeza and Ancho Reyes (an ancho chile liqueur). Both drinks are availlable now for $6 — not too shabby considering they're made with booze from influential barman Jason Kosmas' acclaimed spirits line The 86 Co.

The cheesesteak haven continues to thumb its nose at political correctness with a "white trash" Christmas party taking place this Saturday, which will feature a dwarf Santa — "just like a regular Santa, only smaller, so he’ll be sitting on your lap," says the press release — from 8-10 p.m. and an ugly sweater contest from 9-11 p.m.; winner gets a Truck Yard gift certificate, which they'll no doubt promptly spend on more drinks.
