Progress is moving right along at the future Dallas outpost of Austin-based Uchi. The restaurant posted the above photo to Facebook on Friday with the caption "We're getting there..." Set to open within the next few months on Maple Avenue in Uptown (just a stone's throw from the Stoneleigh Hotel), it will be the third location of chef Tyson Cole's acclaimed Japanese sensation; a Houston Uchi opened back in 2012.

For diners who've already had the pleasure of enjoying Uchi signatures like the cult-favorite Jar Jar Duck dish, the restaurant's early 2015 arrival can't come soon enough; Dallas's affluent sushi-loving sect will surely catch on as well. Stay tuned for updates — including a more specific opening date — as they become available.

In the meantime, restaurant industry types who want to get their foot in the door at the city's next hottest restaurant can hit up one of Uchi's weekly hiring events, held every Wednesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Ben E. Keith corporate offices right here in Dallas (6020 Wyche Boulevard). They're currently seeking hosts, service assistants, and sushi chefs, as well as other back of house positions.
