Sous chefs are commonly referred to as the unsung heroes of the kitchen, but several of Dallas' finest will soon have their time to shine: Seven of the city's top sous chefs are teaming up for what promises to be one rather epic dinner at Driftwood on February 24.
According to Entree Dallas, "the Dinner of Seven Sous will feature a course each from Thomas Seargeant (CBD Provisions), Misti Norris (FT33), Cody Sharp (Casa Rubia), Gmo Tristan (formerly of Boulevardier), Dina Fernanda (The Mansion Restaurant) and Rose de la Rosa (The Joule), as well as the host restaurant's sous, [Justin] Holt."
The menu looks pretty impressive, too, and includes unusual items like whelks, beef heart and beef belly with unique-sounding accents like fermented piquillo and smoked cherry mostarda. Seats at the dinner are $130 and will also include beer and wine pairings; call Driftwood at 214-942-2530 to reserve.
