Chef Danyele McPherson OUT at The Grape (UPDATED)

Team Ginger is exiting stage left. The Grape chef Danyele McPherson is parting ways with Brian and Courtney Luscher's Lower Greenville restaurant, according to a press release.

McPherson started at The Grape in 2011 as a sous and eventually worked her way up to chef de cuisine; a 2012 appearance on Top Chef alongside fellow Dallas chefs John Tesar and Josh Valentine (formerly of FT33) brought McPherson increased exposure.

McPherson will be replaced by Jed Demler who's coming from the kitchen at Hibiscus. No word just yet on where McPherson is headed. SideDish reports that McPherson is headed for HG Sply Co.. UPDATE: Reached for comment, McPherson had this to say: "I am taking a job with Elias Pope of HG and I will join the team with their executive chef Ronnie Esposito and assist working on a new spring menu as well as other future projects."
