The original Snuffer's on Lower Greenville Avenue will finally reopen on March 10, says a press release.
The flagship location of the greasy cheese fry haven shuttered last spring and was torn down to make way for a fresh new building. Then Snuffer's (the chain) was taken over by Firebird Restaurant Group (owners of El Fenix, Meso Maya, et al) but Snuffer's patriarch Pat Snuffer retained control of the Greenville location. He decided he'd reopen it as a "new" concept called Pat's Burger & Cheddar Fries, but that didn't sit too well with Firebird — they filed suit against Snuffer, and eventually ended up acquiring that location as well. Whew.
The press release mentions that the restaurant will offer dollar Bud Light drafts all day, every day — an offer that will surely be taken advantage of by many folks in green when the annual shitshow that is the Lower Greenville St. Patrick's Day parade returns on March 15. Snuffer's has also recently made the groundbreaking developments of switching from Pepsi to Coke products and introducing sweet potato fries and guacamole at all locations.
