The Libertine is Now Serving Foie Gras and Pig Ears

The Libertine has a fancy new menu with everything from foie gras torchon to crispy pig ears.

Groans of disappointment were heard 'round the world — okay, maybe just in the area immediately surrounding Lower Greenville — when the bar announced back in December that it was giving its beloved half-price food night the axe. The bar explained that it wanted to "explore other ways" for patrons to enjoy the bar, and now there's a fresh new menu: Think foie gras torchon, crispy pig ears, tempura vegetables and crispy quinoa clusters, courtesy of chef Josh Black (whom some may remember from Campo or The People's Last Stand).

The menu hasn't been given a complete overhaul, though — favorites like the steak sandwich with horseradish cream, the burger, the grilled cheese, hog wings (aka pork shanks) and the perennial favorite mac and cheese remain.

According to the bar's Facebook page, the new menu was softly launched last night. Scope out said Facebook page to keep an eye on rotating featured specials (a post last night showcased tuna tataki with wasabi cauliflower puree and fried ginger).
