The trio behind wildly successful Smoke at the Belmont Hotel is opening a second location in Plano. Nancy Nichols reports over at SideDish that Tim Byres, Chris Jeffers and Chris Zielke are "taking over the space formerly known as Snuffer's ... at Preston and Park in Plano."
The new space, which will include a "heavily landscaped patio," will be designed by Coeval Studio, the dynamic duo behind several of the city's hottest dining rooms including Tanoshii, Belly & Trumpet, Miss Chi and Pakpao. According to Nichols, "Byres plans to overhaul his original menu and debut a new one at both places."
It's clearly never been a better time to be a carnivore in Plano, what with fellow Oak Cliff resident Lockhart Smokehouse opening just weeks ago in the suburb's once-sleepy downtown district. Expect "a late 2014 opening" for Smoke, says Nichols.
