Trinity Groves' Kitchen LTO as you once knew it — that is, as the colorful Coeval Studio-designed space with chef Norman Grimm in the kitchen — is gone forever, and tonight the redesigned space reopens with new chef Eric Shelton at the helm. Shelton, who recently made an appearance on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen (spoiler: he came in second), was previously responsible for the dining program at Music Hall at Fair Park.
According to a press release, the new interior by designer Stefania Morandi (who also worked on neighbors Casa Rubia, Souk and Four Corners) is still being worked on as we speak in preparation for tonight's dinner service, but expect a minimalist "black and white wonders" theme — which sounds like a pretty dramatic change from the bright splashes of color in the original design.
Kitchen LTO opens tonight for dinner and begins lunch service on Thursday; read on for chef Eric Shelton's "new American" menus, which include dishes like Velvet Hammer-glazed pork belly with a panko-crusted egg, gin-glazed short ribs and French macaron ice cream sandwiches:
