Chef Jon Stevens' Stock & Barrel to Hit Oak Cliff in April

Chef Jon Stevens departed Avner Samuel's Nosh nearly a year ago to strike out on his own, and it looks like his long-awaited Stock & Barrel will finally make its debut next month.

Stevens' new project took over the old Safety Glass building on West Davis Street, a couple blocks from Zoli's and just a stone's throw from the Bishop Arts district; Advocate notes that extensive renovations "included replacing the whole roof." What else do we know about Stock & Barrel thus far? Frankly, not much at all — however, photos of the construction progress posted to the S&B Facebook page indicate there will be a cold smoker, a chalkboard menu and ah yes, a patio.

The restaurant's logo says "Kitchen Americana," but exactly what that will translate to in terms of food is anyone's guess at this point. With April fast approaching, expect to see more details on the space and menu released very soon (stalk the S&B Facebook page here).
