Dipping pizza in ranch dressing is a quirk that certainly isn't restricted to just Texas, but it seems to be more prevalent here than anywhere else. The rather controversial topic seems to inspire spirited debate from both sides — Observer critic Scott Reitz recently declared that "ranch doesn't belong on pizza," while Houston food writer Robb Walsh has previously defended the practice.
