Full Circle Tavern Setting Up Shop at Vista Ridge Mall

Thanks to a recent victory on the Food Network show Food Court Wars, the owners of Full Circle Tavern in The Cedars, Lara Whittington and Jennifer Bonner, are opening a restaurant in the food court at Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville.

The recently aired episode of the reality competition show, which is hosted by former Applebee's spokesdude Tyler Florence, pitted Full Circle Tavern against brunch kings Jonathon's Oak Cliff in a quest for food court dominance. Both teams set up pop-up restaurants (called, respectively, Full Circle Sliders and Jonathon's Gravy Train) in the mall food court for a three-day battle that oddly enough featured a cameo by 80s pop star Tiffany.

In the end, even Jonathon's luscious gravy couldn't defeat Full Circle; the sliders reigned supreme and won Whittington and Bonner a year of free rent in the food court. (The episode re-airs this Saturday at 3 p.m.)

According to Full Circle's Facebook page, Full Circle Sliders isn't open just yet; stay tuned for updates. If the dishes they prepared on the show are any indication, expect dishes like "Italian Stallion" sliders with roast beef, peperoncinis and provolone, beer-brined sausage sliders on pretzel rolls, beer cheese soup and housemade potato chips.

Reality show aside, FCT isn't the first area restaurant to expand into a mall: The Green House Truck opened an airy fast-casual spot at NorthPark and the popular Nammi food truck has a satellite restaurant at Valley View.
