Crawfish at Chicken Scratch; Omar Flores at Wine Poste

OAK CLIFF—Chicken Scratch and neighbor The Foundry will host the first annual Salute to King Creole Crawfish Festival on Saturday, April 13 starting at 4:30 p.m. Expect food including a crawfish boil, oysters and gumbo, a cash bar with drinks provided by Stoli and Peticolas, a Zydeco band and even a tattoo artist. DESIGN DISTRICT—The Wine Poste will host Casa Rubia/Driftwood chef Omar Flores for a Spanish feast on Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. A sparkling wine reception will be followed by five courses with wine or sherry pairings; dishes will include white gazpacho and Moorish spiced lamb belly.
