The season of many chef shuffles continues: Abraham Salum has appointed Julio Peraza executive chef at both his eponymous restaurant Salum and his regional Mexican restaurant Komali, replacing Ian Tate (whose departure was announced last week).
Peraza, an El Salvador native, graduated from the California Culinary Academy in 2002 and went on to work for some big names like Kerry Simon and Michael Mina. According to the press release, "a spring/summer menu will launch in the coming weeks that will have Peraza's stamp on it."
