Holy Crap: West Plano's Getting Pakpao, Mi Dia and Princi Italia

Apparently the hottest trend this spring is expanding your restaurant concept to Plano. A reader tipped blog CraveDFW off to a sign at the corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Parker Road advertising a new "West Plano Village" that's slated to open in January 2015. According to the sign, said development will include locations of Pakpao Thai, Princi Italia, and Mi Dia from Scratch (not to mention an Eatzi's as well as a Kona Grill).

This follows a slew of recent announcements from other restaurateurs that are also Plano-bound: Lockhart Smokehouse opened a second location in downtown Plano just last month, Smoke is opening a second outpost at Preston Road and Park Boulevard, and late-night Vietnamese spot DaLat also has plans to open a secondary location in the city's burgeoning downtown district.
