This Sunday is not only Easter, it's also the international stoner holiday known simply as 4/20. Dallas' original weirdo doughnut purveyor Hypnotic Donuts will be closed Sunday due to Easter, but in observance of the potheads' day of reverence, the White Rock-area shop will offer a limited supply of surprise doughnut "stash boxes" on Saturday.
Says owner James St. Peter: "This is totally for fun... Things we would NEVER put on a regular menu but will work on a 'NORML' menu (get it?). Combos that would only be good to certain clientele — maybe."
Possible flavors Hypnotic is working on for the 4/20 boxes include pickle, calzone, gin and juice, potato chip, buffalo/ranch, and on a more approachable level for those who aren't stoned out of their minds, peanut butter cup. Curious folks with adventurous palates can swing by Saturday during normal business hours (7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.) to snag a box for $15.
