Food Trucks at Sprouts; Pitmaster Picnic

HENDERSON—The monthly food truck gathering known as The Parking Lot is returning to Sprouts the first Thursday of every month with live music, wine and local beer samples and free ice cream, plus DJs. The first event kicks off May 1 from 5-8 p.m. [Eaterwire]

RICHARDSON—In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Alamo Drafthouse will host a Three Amigos quote-along on Monday, May 5 at 7 p.m. Attendees can expect to get tiny sombreros and maracas, and there will be a piñata contest and other games before the movie starts, plus a themed menu with tacos, a Hatch green chile burger, tequila cocktails and more. DESIGN DISTRICT—Cafe Momentum will host its second annual Pitmasters Picnic on Sunday, May 18 at 5 p.m. at The Slow Bone. The impressive pitmaster lineup will be comprised of Jack Perkins, Pecan Lodge's Justin Fourton, Riverport Barbecue's Stephen Joseph, Nick Pencis from Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue and Wayne Mueller of Louie Mueller's.
