Cinco De Mayo Events; Driftwood Chef on Chopped

PLANO—Holy Grail Pub is getting an early jump on Cinco de Mayo this Saturday from noon-9 p.m. with an event they're calling Cinco de Taco. They'll be tapping a couple unique beers including a keg of "tequila-aged" Oskar Blues' Mama's Little Yella Pils, and serving dishes like street tacos, carne asada candy beets, margarita cheesecake and sopapillas. FOOD TV WIRE—Driftwood's new chef Kyle McClelland will appear on Food Network's Chopped tonight. Tune in at 9 p.m. to see if the chef can stomp his competitors to walk away with $10,000. [Eats Blog]

EXPO PARK—And continuing with the trend of Cinco de Mayo-appropriate beers, Craft & Growler will tap a keg of Lakewood Brewing's Mole Temptress, "a mole-inspired rendition" of their popular brew, tomorrow at 6 p.m. Buy a pint and keep the glass. [C&G]
