A late-night haven for meat and booze is on the horizon. CultureMap Dallas reports that Scotch & Sausage will open in June in a former law office located on Oak Lawn (a block or so away from Oak Lawn Coffee).
According to Scotch & Sausage's website, the menu is "influenced by traditional German Biergartens" and will specialize in "sausage sandwiches, Belgian fries with homemade dipping sauces, Imported biers, and an assortment of gourmet sodas," as well as "an inspired bar program" heavy on the Scotch and whiskey. Expect 20 or so different sausage varieties, including chicken, bison and vegetarian, says CultureMap.
The concept was inspired by a nearly-identical L.A. restaurant concept called Wurstkuche. No word on exactly how late S&S will go, but Teresa Gubbins says it'll serve until the wee hours."
