Behold, the future of Dallas barbecue: Here's a look inside the brand new Pecan Lodge, which shuttered its original Dallas Farmers Market location last weekend to move on up to swanky new digs in Deep Ellum, set to officially open May 23.
The interior is fittingly decked out in an industrial Texan style, and despite being new construction, it somehow manages to feel like it's been there forever — think concrete floors, open ductwork, corrugated metal, mismatched wooden tables and chairs, old ranch signs and black-and-white photos and of course, a whole section of wall displaying accolades from practically every publication under the sun. The restaurant is certainly a major step up from Pecan Lodge's previous location, boasting not only a spacious dining room with plenty of room for people to queue up but also a bar with five beers on tap (including an exclusive collaboration with Four Corners) and a patio, plus a huge smokehouse where the meat magic happens.
