Well this will certainly be an event to remember: FT33 chef/owner (and noted drum and bass fan) Matt McCallister is teaming up with chef Alex Stupak of NYC's acclaimed restaurant Empellón Cocina and world-famous drum and bass DJ Dieselboy (né Damian Higgins) to present a very unique nine-course dinner next month. Per a press release, "the high-energy evening will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by a dinner featuring three courses from each of the three talented chefs, with a DnB playlist pulsing throughout the night."

As detailed in a 2012 interview with Eater National, Dieselboy "is extremely into food"; the DJ and self-taught chef recently demonstrated his cooking techniques when he whipped up some rather fancy sandwiches for Vice's electronic music channel Thump and has also written for blog First We Feast.

Stupak, previously the pastry chef at Chicago's lauded Alinea, opened Empellón Cocina in NYC's East Village in 2012 and was awarded two stars by New York Times critic Pete Wells, who deemed Stupak's food a "free-associating mash note to the food of Mexico."

Seats are limited for the dinner, which takes place Monday, June 9 starting at 6 p.m. Tickest are $125 per person with an additional $65 for wine pairings; call 214-741-2629 to reserve.
