PLANO—Earlier this week Shops at Legacy bar Scruffy Duffies made headlines for displaying an offensive joke on its chalkboard menu; now, nearby bar Pepper Smash is responding by throwing a fundraiser to benefit The Family Place, a local non-profit "serving families torn apart by domestic violence."
