Food truck parks are popping up everywhere these days, and now there's even one at the Fort Worth Stockyards. According to blog Food, Fort Worth, the Hay Lot Food Park soft-opened for biz May 1 with space for six trucks, plus picnic benches and "a nice wooden deck that overlooks Exchange Ave."
There will also be beer and wine available for purchase at the Hay Lot's "saloon" once the liquor license is secured; per the Hay Lot's website, they hope to have that aspect up and running for their grand opening celebration which goes down this Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
For now, scope out the schedule of upcoming food trucks — an eclectic lineup that includes Enchiladas Ole, Schnitzel Shack, Vegan Noms, Bite My Biscuit and more — and wait for sunnier skies; the Hay Lot is closed today due to the rain, but will regularly be open Thursday through Sunday, with late-night hours till 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, meaning the Billy Bob's crowd can easily stumble on over for post-dancing tacos.
