Margarita Meltdown Returns; New Orleans Food Truck

OAK CLIFF—The fourth annual Margarita Meltdown happens Sunday, May 25 from 5-10 p.m. in the Bishop Arts District. Bartenders from area restaurants will compete for for $1,000 and the title of best margarita in Dallas; attendees will be able to sample 32 different margaritas (whoa) and vote on the best via text message. HENDERSON—In an effort to promote tourism in New Orleans, the Follow Your NOLA food truck will be stationed at 2323 N. Henderson Avenue (aka the strip where Gemma and Sushi Axiom are located) Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Chef Brian Landry of John Besh's Restaurant Borgne will offer cooking demos and food samples, and there will also be a brass band and giveaways. UPTOWN/ADDISON—Both Social House locations will observe American Craft Beer Week next Monday through Friday with various events like craft brew keg tappings, half-price "Beer Society" memberships and more.
