Velvet Taco is Expanding to Addison — With Barbecue?!

Velvet Taco is poised to expand with a fourth location, and this one will be in Addison, as revealed by an image posted to the Facebook page for architecture/branding specialists Plan B Group. (UPDATE: The Facebook post has since been taken down; see a screenshot (here.) It looks like the Addison location will have more than just tacos, though; the restaurant illustration is captioned "Velvet Taco and Dry Rub BBQ" and depicts a restaurant that's split down the middle, with a Velvet Taco on one side and what appears to be a barbecue joint on the other. Per the same Facebook post, the double-header will open "end of 2014" in the former Truluck's space on Belt Line Road. A rep for Velvet Taco parent company Fork It Over declined to comment.
