The former El Padrino taco stand in Bishop Arts has stood dormant for many months, but that will all change soon: Per a help wanted ad on Craigslist, it's transforming into a "new fast casual concept featuring Cuban cuisine" called C Senor.
El Padrino fans will recall that the taco stand shuttered in late 2012 after the space was leased by restaurateur Alberto Lombardi's daughter Sarah, who had plans to turn it into a hot dog stand; that project was later abandoned. Hattie's owner Tony Alvarez signed a lease for the space (as well as the Oak Cliff Mercantile building that's behind it) last December. More info as it becomes available.
