Addison's Ramen Hakata Could Open as Soon as July

Addison is definitely getting a ramen restaurant of its own, and it could open as soon as next month.

Following a tip from an Eater reader that pointed out a listing for Ramen Hakata, the mysterious new restaurant was discovered to be under construction in the former Burrito Jimmy space near Belt Line and Marsh.

An email from Hakata's owner was tight-lipped on details, but did offer the following tidbits: Construction should be finishing up by the end of June. They "may open in July," though no specific date has been set just yet. Furthermore, Hakata says they are "so excited to serve the original Japanese ramen" and boldly says that they intend to be "the best ramen shop in Dallas."

In other ramen news, Vegas-based Monta Ramen is slated to open a location in Richardson this summer; Tei-An owner Teiichi Sakurai will open his ramen spot Ten at Sylvan Thirty in September or October.
