Reservations officially open today for the annual dining room takeover known as Restaurant Week, and the full list of participating restaurants has been unleashed. Over one hundred DFW area restaurants will participate in the prix fixe extravaganza from August 11-17. The official website has a staggeringly detailed guide, for those who refuse to visit a Restaurant Week venue without a specialty cocktail. The list also includes phone numbers to dial immediately to score the most coveted reservations.
For the first time, the event will feature a kick-off party August 7 at Fair Park's Centennial Hall featuring food from participating restaurants, cocktails, and more. (Snag the $50 - $95 tickets here.) The event features $35 and $45 three-course menus at participating restaurants, as well as a smaller selection of $25 lunch options. Brace, prix fixe haters: many restaurants will run their menus through the end of August. Restaurant week aims to raise $800,000 for the North Texas Food Bank and the Lena Pope Home.
