Former (or current?) "Most Hated Chef in Dallas" John Tesar dropped plenty of jaws last week when he tweeted an incendiary "fuck you" at Dallas Morning News critic Leslie Brenner, and now it looks like his brashness could be paying off with a television deal. Tesar tells CultureMap that "he's been approached by a veteran reality-show production company that has created a number of shows for Bravo TV, among others," to develop a concept that "would be something along the lines of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, but with less screaming."
It certainly wouldn't be Tesar's first foray into television; he was a contestant on season 10 of Bravo staple Top Chef. Ramsay announced last month that Kitchen Nightmares was coming to an end after 12 seasons (7 in the U.S.), so perhaps Tesar can help fill TV's impending shouty chef void. Of course, it will remain to be seen whether he'll be able to match Ramsay's impressive usage of F bombs.
