Buzzy Scotch & Sausage made its meaty, booze-soaked debut last week in a former law office on Oak Lawn, and it looks like this one's a hit right out of the gate: The kitchen had to shut down for a few hours on day one so they could make more food to feed the sausage-crazed masses. As the name would indicate, the restaurant specializes in sausages (made in-house or locally) in flavors ranging from the expected to the strange — think traditional English banger, turducken mole and bulgogi-marinated wild boar — plus some seriously good skin-on fries, Scotch eggs and plenty of vegetarian options. The Crossfit crowd can even get their sausage wrapped in lettuce. (Check out the full menu here.) The liquid side of the equation includes over 100 scotches and whiskeys, as well as beer and several interesting bottled sodas for those not looking to get quite so hammered. A hybrid service style means folks in a hurry can order at the counter, or grab a seat and wait for a server. Scotch & Sausage is open daily for lunch and dinner, until midnight Sunday through Wednesday, 3 a.m. on Thursday and 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
