Design District restaurant Pakpao Thai is poised to open a second location in Preston Hollow. It will be located in the Preston Hollow Village shopping center at Walnut Hill and 75; other restaurants slated for the shopping center include the healthy chain Modmarket and a sushi bar (plus another Trader Joe's). Per a press release, the second branch "will have a similar design to the original location in the Dallas Design District ... but with a larger bar area." The menu will be largely the same as the original, "but with a few small differences." Pakpao also has another new location slated for West Plano, as part of a major new development that will also include an Eatzi's, Princi Italia and Mi Dia From Scratch. The restaurant underwent some major changes earlier this year when chef Jet Tila came on board as a partner. Expect the Preston Hollow location to open in "early 2015," with the Plano outpost to follow later in the year.
