Ketchup Burger Bar in Uptown is now known as The Sir, a revamped concept brought to you in part by a reality TV star. Per Eats Blog, joining partner Yaser Khalaf (Baboush, Souk) are "brothers Niko and J.D. Ybañez and friend Ben Scott, who was recently a contestant on Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise." There are also two consulting chefs involved: Norman Grimm, formerly of Kitchen LTO, and Peja Krstic, formerly of The Standard Pour.
The menu is sticking pretty closely to the burgers-and-fried-stuff theme of Ketchup Burger Bar, with burger options like the oddball PBJB made with peanut butter, jelly and bacon, chicken wings in unique flavors such as guava barbecue, harissa and coconut lime, and plenty of fried sides from zucchini to parmesan truffle fries. Meanwhile, the cocktail menu offers a lineup of $10 drinks like one called Ron Jeremy's Mustache Ride (really), a rather atrocious-sounding concoction of peach schnapps, rum, orange juice, pineapple, sweet and sour and cranberry that's topped with whipped cream. If that's not to your liking there's also one called Sarah Palin's Dr. Pepper Shootout, which is made with an unholy-sounding trinity of Bud Light, amaretto and Coke. (The menu says patrons can always request a custom drink, though, so there's that?) The Sir is open daily from 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
