What's more Deep Ellum than simultaneously drinking beer and browsing vinyl? That's the premise at Off the Record, a new bar from the owners of the iconic Club Dada. Located right next to Dada on Elm Street, the just-opened venture features 24 local and craft beers on tap as well as 10 different craft cocktails. Indoors, there's a concrete bar and a selection of 2,000 records curated by Lower Greenville mainstay Good Records, with plans to expand the collection to 5,000; outdoors you'll find a covered patio and deck area. The bar also has a stage area that according to a press release "will host various DJ nights featuring soul, funk, boogie, classic country, and more."
Off the Record's hours are Monday through Thursday 4 p.m.-2 a.m., Saturday and Sunday noon-2 a.m. Grand opening festivities are slated for September 12.
