What, exactly, is "white trash bottle service"? According to perpetually packed Lower Greenville hot spot Truck Yard, it means turning watermelons into margarita kegs.
Just in time for the drunken weekend known as Labor Day, Jason Boso and his merry band of bartenders are outfitting whole hollowed-out watermelons with pour spouts and filling them up with tequila, triple sec and fresh lime to co-mingle with the watermelon juice.
Said spiked watermelons are $69 apiece for groups of five or more, and there are only 40 available, so if you have fantasies of "white trash bottle service," get there quick. They'll be available starting at 5 p.m. on Friday and all weekend until the supply is exhausted. Of course, if you miss out on the watermelon kegs, there's always the treehouse bar and a cheesesteak.
