The corner of Henderson and McMillan will soon be coffeeless no more: Long-awaited Austin export Houndstooth Coffee is slated to open in the former Pearl Cup space next Thursday, August 14. As reported back in June, the revamped space will feature clean lines and a modern design, divided up with several zones including a small coffee bar with stools and a patio with bench seating. There will also be a small window that opens out to the sidewalk for walk-up (or bike-up) service. Houndstooth's coffee lineup will feature beans from North Carolina's Counter Culture Coffee, Supersonic Coffee out of Berkeley, California, and TWEED, owner Sean Henry's Dallas-based roastery. Another unique offering at Houndstooth will be Coffer, a naturally carbonated cold brew coffee beverage that's produced in Austin. Houndstooth will be open daily, with hours from 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on weekends. For further updates, stalk @HoundstoothDTX on Twitter.
