Jameson Competition; Food Truck Palooza

UPTOWN—Eddie Campbell's Parliament will host a Jameson Black Barrel cocktail competition this Sunday night. Show up between 6-9 p.m. for free tastes of the featured spirit; the competition begins at 7 p.m. sharp and will feature 10 Dallas bartenders from The Standard Pour, Lark on the Park, Proof & Pantry, Barter, Boulevardier, Blind Butcher, Knife, Victor Tangos, Whiskey Cake and of course, Parliament. FAR NORTH DALLAS—Temple Shalom presents the third annual Food Truck Palooza this Sunday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at 6930 Alpha Road (that's the southeast corner of Hillcrest and Alpha). Admission is $5 and includes parking, live music, a "kids' zone with multiple bounce houses, inflatable slide, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, magician & the Photo-Wagon."
