Is the northern 'burb of Fairview the new hot place to open a restaurant? As CultureMap Dallas first reported yesterday, downtown Dallas resident Wild Salsa has plans to expand with a location in the sprawling Village at Fairview shopping center (the same area where Cane Rosso debuted its fourth location just last month).
According to a PR rep for parent company DRG Concepts, the Fairview location's menu will feature "mostly signature items from the Downtown location menu, with expansion on new brunch and dinner recipes." No targeted opening date has been announced just yet, only that it will be sometime in 2015. DRG is also currently working on another Wild Salsa location in downtown Fort Worth; it's slated to open sometime later this year right next door to a new location of the company's burger concept Chop House Burger. (They've also announced plans to open more Chop House Burger locations in Plano, Frisco and Southlake.)
Northward expansion seems to be on the forefront of many restaurateurs' minds these days, and it's certainly welcome news for hungry suburbanites: Smoke and Pakpao are both preparing to open outposts in Plano, while Lockhart Smokehouse, DaLat and Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar all opened Plano branches earlier this year.
