LOOK Cinemas will open a 12-screen theater at Richardson's future CityLine development, says Dallas Business Journal. (Based on renderings, the currently-under-construction area near 75 and the President George Bush Turnpike looks like its destined to be Richardson's version of the Shops at Legacy or West 7th — an upscale mixed use development with apartments, offices, hotel, retail, and restaurants.)
LOOK's existing location in Addison is attached to a Coal Vines pizzeria and a Nick & Sam's Grill, the latter of which is slated to be replaced with a new restaurant concept called Ivy Kitchen; per DBJ, the Richardson LOOK will also include an Ivy Kitchen. The theater is estimated to be open by mid-2016, and LOOK is also expected to announce plans for an additional location "in upcoming weeks." Of course, LOOK isn't the only dine-in movie theater with major expansion plans for DFW: Austin-based Alamo Drafthouse, which opened its first area location last year in Richardson, recently announced plans for additional theaters in The Cedars and Las Colinas.
