Metro Diner Rolls Prices All the Way Back to 1964

The lone remaining Metro Diner is celebrating 50 years in biz by serving up super-cheap food on Wednesday.

Greasy spoon fans should mark their calendars for this Wednesday, September 24, when the lone remaining Metro Diner in Oak Cliff will celebrate a whopping 50 years in business by serving food at throwback prices. Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and 4 a.m., folks can pop in for an absurdly cheap, retro-priced meal (see prices below):

  • 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, hash brown and biscuit - .95
  • Hamburger - .65
  • Cheeseburger - .70
  • Masterburger - 1.25
  • Chicken-fried steak with fries and Texas toast - 1.95
  • French fries - .60
  • Coffee, tea or soft drink - .25
