UPTOWN—After 14 years of not opening until 4 p.m., Breadwinners sibling and next-door neighbor Quarter Bar has just announced it's extending its hours. Day drinkers rejoice, because the New Orleans-themed watering hole will now be open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday/Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. [EaterWire]

TRINITY GROVES—According to the calendar it's officially fall, and autumnal flavors are in full effect at Kate Weiser Chocolate. Stop by now for macarons in flavors like pumpkin, maple bourbon and orange-fig, plus chai tea and pecan-butterscotch ice creams. [KWC/Facebook]

OAK CLIFF—Hey look, Bishop Arts' C. Señor looks like a real restaurant now. They've just installed a fancy new sign and neon lights, turning the former El Padrino taco stand into a shining beacon of Cuban sandwiches and fried plantains. Hours are between 11 a.m. and 8:30(ish) p.m. for now; they plan to add breakfast soon. [EaterWire]
