Yes, Brian Luscher's House of Sausage Will Have Beer

New, 1 comment

Not to worry, there will be plenty of beer to go along with the meat at Luscher's.

People are understandably pretty excited about Luscher's, the upcoming sausage and hot dog restaurant in Deep Ellum from The Grape chef/owner Brian Luscher — particularly if they've already had the pleasure of tasting Luscher's Post Oak Red Hots, the line of handmade hot dogs he regularly hawks at White Rock Local Market loaded up with Chicago-style accoutrement. As the chef revealed last week, the menu will center around said hot dogs, other handmade sausages and Italian beef sandwiches.

Today, he tells the Observer that he'll be using Wagyu beef to make the Italian beef before serving it "in locally sourced rolls with house-made giardiniera." (There might also be gyros involved.)

But wait, what about beverages? Not to worry; there will indeed be beer, including cans of both the cheap and local craft varieties, as well as one or two draft options. If all goes to plan, Luscher's could be open as soon as November.
