Remedy Launches Lunch/Brunch Service, Wants You to Bring Your Kids

Less of a focus on booze makes this recent Lowest Greenville addition family-friendly for lunch.

Recent Lowest Greenville addition Remedy debuted a couple weeks ago with dinner only, and now the vintage soda fountain-inspired restaurant from HG Sply Co. owner Elias Pope is open all day, every day.

Daytime service at Remedy promises a diminished focus on cocktails and more of a family-friendly vibe. (Fun parlor trick: the shelves on either side of the back bar slide inward to conceal the liquor selection.) The menu includes lunch-appropriate fare from the dinner menu including a burger, a fresher take on the classic McDonald's Filet-o-Fish sandwich, and a standout fried bologna sandwich (no, this is not the Oscar Mayer of your youth — Chef Danyele McPherson makes the stuff in-house from fancy Akaushi beef and Duroc pork). There's brunch-y fare like biscuits with sausage gravy and a fried chicken and jalapeno-orange waffle sandwich, too, and a press release promises a kids menu will be added soon. For now, the younger crowd will surely be satiated by the killer dessert selection.

Remedy is now open daily for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; an "abbreviated menu" will be served between the hours of 2:30 and 5:30 p.m., when nightly dinner service begins.
