DOWNTOWN—Indian takeout lunch spot Spice in the City is celebrating the State Fair all month long with fair-inspired specials like fried masala chicken tenders and fried cinnamon-sugar dosa funnel cake balls. Scope out the Facebook page for details. [EaterWire]

PLANO—Holy Grail Pub is also getting inspired by fair foods: They'll celebrate State Fair Week from October 12 through October 18 with specials like a fried Monte Cristo and fried cheesecake. (For those whose tastes run a bit more sophisticated, October 26 through 30 is Scotch Week.) [EaterWire]
