Blue Bell Ice Cream Makes Dallas-Fort Worth Comeback in November

Praise the ice cream gods.

After months of sad, empty shelves in your grocer's freezer section, Blue Bell finally has a timeline for returning to DFW: As of November 2 the ice cream brand will resume distribution to the Metroplex, reports WFAA — just in time to pair with your Thanksgiving pies.

Flavors will be limited for now: Expect Buttered Pecan, Cookies 'n Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Homemade Vanilla, and The Great Divide to be available in half-gallons and pints.

The Brenham, Texas-born ice cream company halted production and issued a massive recall in April following a listeria outbreak that killed three people, which was followed by layoffs of over a thousand employees. After being cleared by the FDA, the company began resuming production in July; product began hitting shelves in Austin at the end of August.
