Downtown's Hospitality Sweet Sets Its Sights on Preston Center

A new breakfast and lunch option for the Park Cities crowd.

Preston Center has laid claim to many a restaurant victim, but downtown Dallas breakfast and lunch staple Hospitality Sweet isn't afraid. Per Teresa Gubbins at CultureMap, the cafe is taking over the spot at 6135 Luther Lane that has played host to a string of failed concepts.

Owner Meghan Adams tells CultureMap she won't be delving into dinner at the new location, instead focusing on the breakfast and lunch offerings that Hospitality Sweet's already known for, plus "a more extensive breakfast menu." Menu items at the Ervay Street location — located inside the historic post office that now does double duty as a residential building — include quiche, breakfast tacos, a grilled cheese with bacon and candied pecans, and a cinnamony pastry creation called the Texas Scone (a bit of a misnomer, but damn tasty nonetheless).

Add to that kale salad, dainty macarons, and almond milk lattes, and all signs point to Hospitality Sweet being a hit with the ladies-who-lunch crowds that frequent Preston Center during the day. In any case, we'll have to wait till January 2016 to find out.
