Dining options at shopping mecca NorthPark Center get a little classier today with the arrival of The Theodore, the newest concept from Turn the Tables Hospitality (aka Tim Byres, Chris Jeffers, and Chris Zielke). Located on the north side between Macy's and Nordstrom, it's a welcome new spot to refuel with a cocktail and a bite after a bout of shoe shopping.
Toasts have their very own menu category here, and for good reason: The crusty sourdough bread comes fresh from the in-house bakery. There's also pizza, sandwiches, pastas, a roasted pheasant salad with duck fat croutons, and a take on the old-school classic beef Wellington. Cocktails by former Bolsa barman Kyle Hilla are named for national parks as a tribute to Teddy Roosevelt's conservation efforts — environmentalism never tasted so good.
The Theodore is now open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m Saturday and Sunday; happy hour runs weekdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m.
