On Monday, November 16, Eater will present the 2015 Eater Awards, our sixth annual celebration of all that's made the restaurant world run — and run wild — in the past 12 months. Winners will be selected on both the local and national levels in five major categories, and the voting begins right now. The polls are now closed for restaurant of the year, chef of the year, and bartender of the year, and today we focus on the year’s hottest opening. Which Dallas restaurant is So Hot Right Now?

First up is Remedy, Lowest Greenville's modern take on the old-school soda fountain where you can pair your housemade bologna sandwich with a boozy egg cream. Next is Luscher's Red Hots, Brian Luscher's laid-back haus of sausage in Deep Ellum that also boasts one of 2015's best new burgers. Just up the street is Braindead Brewing, the neighborhood's first brewpub serving house-brewed beers and tasty food to a packed patio practically since day one. Then there's Pink Magnolia, Oak Cliff's enclave of Southern comfort and chicken-fried, bourbon-buttered everything brought to you by chef Blythe Beck and Casie Caldwell. The final nominee is Rapscallion, Boulevardier's Southern-tinged sibling that's drawing crowds to Greenville Avenue for spicy Sichuan fried chicken, imaginative cocktails, and one hell of a brunch menu.
Here's how the voting works: Eater editors have named nominees in Dallas for each of five major categories. Eater readers will vote, narrowing the nominees to three finalists. From those three finalists, the Eater editorial team will select a winner. Ready to play your part? This poll will be open for 24 hours; voting irregularities will be strictly policed.
